What we do with your details

Last updated August 2026

The short version

We collect what we need to run a retreat and to tell you about the next one. We do not sell your details to anybody. You can ask us to delete everything and we will.

What we collect

  • Your name, email and mobile, so we can confirm a booking and reach you about it.
  • Dietary requirements, so the kitchen can feed you. The booking form does not ask for health or emergency contact details.
  • Nothing about payment. There is no card payment on this site, so no card details are ever collected or stored here.
  • Basic information about how you used this site, through Meta and Google analytics tools.

Why we have it

To take your booking, to feed you correctly, to send you the details you need before you arrive, and to let you know when the next retreat or the next study tour opens. That last one is the only marketing use, and every email we send has an unsubscribe link that works.

Who else sees it

  • WhatsApp, owned by Meta, carries the conversation if you choose to message us there. Anything you send in that chat is covered by WhatsApp's own privacy terms, not this page.
  • Our email and booking software stores your name and contact details.
  • Camp Glenrock gets a list of names and dietary requirements before you arrive.
  • Meta and Google receive anonymised information about actions taken on this site, which is how advertising is measured. You can opt out in your own browser and ad settings.

Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade your details.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it. Payment records are made by Sibo directly rather than by this site. Everything else goes when you ask, or when it stops being useful.

Asking us to change or delete it

Email sibo.bangoura.retreat@gmail.com and ask. You can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it within a few days and confirm when it is done.

If we get that wrong, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Cookies

This site uses cookies to remember what you were doing and to measure advertising. Blocking them in your browser will not break the site, though it will make the booking flow forget you between visits.
